Drainage Work
Give the water a place to go
Standing water against a house, a soggy drive, or a yard that never dries is a drainage problem. Foil Land Services installs pipe, cuts swales, and shapes the ground so water leaves the site.
Tucker looks at where the water sits after a rain, not just where it looks wet on a dry day. The estimate is free. You hear whether the fix is pipe, grade, or both.
We work residential and commercial ground inside a one-hour radius of Shelbyville. If the job needs a tile contractor or something outside our equipment, we say so.
How it is priced. Quoted after we see where the water sits. Free estimate.
Tucker quotes it himself and he is on the machine when the work happens.
What You Get
What a drainage work job includes
Pipe where it belongs
Corrugated and solid runs get set so water has a path instead of a puddle.
Swales and ditches
Open channels move water when pipe is not the right answer.
Grade to support the drain
Pipe does not fix a yard that still slopes toward the house. We will say when the dirt has to move too.
Cleanup with the install
Trenches get closed and the work area is left usable, not as a second project for you.
How It Goes
From first call to finished ground
- 01
See it wet if we can
Photos after a rain are gold. If we walk it dry, we still look for the low spots.
- 02
Free estimate
A plan and a price: pipe, swale, grade, or a mix.
- 03
Cut and set
The trench goes in, the pipe or swale gets built, and the water has a path.
- 04
The yard can dry
You watch the next storm. The water should leave instead of sit.

Questions
Drainage Work questions we get asked
Can you tell me what I need from photos?
Often a ballpark, yes. A wet-yard photo plus a picture of the house and the low spot is a strong start. Some sites still need a walk.
Do you install drainage around a foundation?
We can move water away from a house with pipe and grade. We are not a foundation-repair company. If the wall itself is failing, that is a different trade.
Is this the same as field tile?
Not always. Field tile is its own specialty. We handle site drainage, pipe, swales, and the dirt work around them. We will tell you if you need a tiling contractor.
Will you trench for the pipe?
Yes. Trenching is part of how the pipe gets in the ground. See the trenching page if that is the only piece you need.
